need help setting up a vpn

I need to be familar with setting up vpn's for my job so my boss gave me a challenge. He gave me two linksys BEFSX41 routers with vpn endpoints. I'm attempting to do this with 2 computers each running xp pro with sp2. Heres the setup. I have my main computer (computer A) plugged into Router A and I have computer B plugged into Router B. Computer A has a static IP of 192.168.1.100 and Router A has an IP address of 192.168.1.1. Computer B has a static IP of 192.168.2.100 and Router B has a IP of 192.168.2.1. I have both of the routers connected via a crossover cable and I set up static routes in each router. I am able to ping computer B from computer A but as soon as I enable VPN tunneling and i cant ping anymore. I have the local and remote settings correct under the vpn tunnels but when I check the log it says No Wan IP listed. Im pretty much at a loss as to what i put for that. If anybody could help it would be greatly appreciated.
