Setup my computer to output its internet connection through ethernet port?
My PC here is connected to our wireless network via a linksys card. what i want to do is output the internet connection through an ethernet card (i have several) so that i can hook up my linux computer to it and that will then have internet conncetion as well. im running winxp and i know linux is ideal for this kinda stuff but im fairly sure that this is possible in some way. Actually if worst comes to worse, i can put the wireless card in the linux pc (tested already, it works) then do the same on the linux rig and output connection to the windows one. thanks

One thing i did disable this port that is built into the mobo....a basic 10/100 ethernet port. also, i have an extra wireless router that is kinda old but would still work fine--is there any way to set this router up to RECEIVE an internet connection through its wireless antenna?

Connect the linux box to the existing router - either wired or wireless.

No, you can't do that. The old router cannot be converted to a bridge or repeater, which is what you would need. Cheapest solution is just stuff a wireless card into the second computer.
