Hello, I've been working on this problem for a long time and nobody has been able to help me on this (not even fellow techs) but I'm hoping for luck here.
I have a network of 4 computers that are connected via a wired router and one of those computers also has a wireless NIC that I want to be able to connect to another router that is wireless. Ok, if I connect all PCs into the wired router and nothing to the wireless router then all computers can see each other no problem. When I try to link the wireless PC to the wireless router while it's still connected to the wired network, I get no internet (I can't even connect to the wireless router to check settings). If I disconnect/disable the PC's wired NIC and link to the wireless router then that computer will get internet but ICS won't work. I've checked IP addresses and there's no conflict (fyi: they're all using the 192.168.0.x range). The wireless router is set for a class C subnet with 0 in the last octet, just as all the other computers/router is set up. Maybe my default gateway's wrong? I've tried every combination I can think of to no avail. Has anyone come across this situation? Can anyone help? I've also checked out www.practicallynetworked.com and that didn't help.

I may be reading between the lines, but what the heck are you trying to do here? Are you trying to connect your network to your neighbor's wireless network or something?

Actually, I'm just practicing various types of network connections. No, I'm not trying to tap into someone else's network, just set up my own. I'm Network+ certified so I'm practicing what I've learned. Basically my dilemma is not being able to use ICS. One adapter won't do its job when the other is functional in the ICS machine, and vice versa. Only when I disable one will the other work, but since I do a lot of stuff on the internet, it's not often possible for me to put stuff on the ICS machine from another PC on my network. Have any pointers?

The easiest and most economical way to do what you want, IMHO. A 4 port Ethernet wireless router would do what you need without using ICS. With the right shares each PC on Lan would be able to share files, printers, ect...

I'm starting to think that ICS doesn't work with DSL. I also have a router, but I'm thinking that ICS doesn't work well with it. If this is the case, then I'll just have to find another topology. Create ISA/proxy server?

ICS works fine with DSL, but trying to do it the way you are trying to do it doesn't.
