stuck-serious Internet connection Sharing problem
when i try to enable internet connection sharing on my host computer i get
this message: " An error occured whileInternet Connection Sharing was enabled The specificed service does not exist as a installed service" but the internet still works on the host computer and the network still functions. Please help, i think i need to reinstall Internet Connection Sharing somehow |

First off, welcome to PC Mech. Think we need some more info. What OS's are you running on these computers and how do you connect to the internet (dial up, dsl, cable)? What hardware are you using?

oh i am using winXP pro. i use cable to connect to the internet via a network card( i have a second card for networking with other computers).
all the netowrk cards i have are Realtek. this problem occured suddenly out of the blue as perviously ICS worked fine. |

A suggestion - instead of using ICS, get a router. A lot less hassles and they are dirt cheap.

one question- does routers interfere with software such as download accerlator and BitTorrent? i heard many bad things about them.
