Wired LAN
What do you have to setup so that computers that you are sharing a internet connection with to be able to share files. Both computers are running Windows XP pro, and I am using a D-link DI-604 router.

Set a couple of folders to be shared on both computers. Right-click a folder on each computer that you want to be able to share, then click Properties and then click the Sharing tab. Under there, mark the "Share this folder" bit. Do this on both computers.

make sure both computers are in the same workgroup, as well. to change this, right click on My Computer and go to properties. hit the Computer Name tab. this will tell you which workgroup you are on, and you can change as necessary

and finally, make sure that any personal firewalls are turned off...they can really mess with file and print sharing.
