I think it should be easy, but...
The scene: two computers, Win XP, crossover cable, dialup
Action: Ran XP network wizard Result: Both computers say the network is connected at 100Mbps, but I can't see the other computer from Network neighborhood and I cannot connect to the internet from the host. No peripherals available either. Question: What am I missing? When I boot either computer, it does not prompt me for a password, etc. Its sorta connected, but not really. The network sends a marginal amount of bytes and receives none. This applies to both computers. Thanks, tranman |

XP SP2? Try disabling software firewalls such as Norton and the XP firewall.

You need to share a folder to the network on each computer.
