Here’s the deal:
I have 2 computers; 1 desktop computer, and 1 notebook. I just bought the notebook and I plan to have them share files, and have the same internet source. I want to do all this from the notebook without any wires, or wireless. Currently though, on the desktop, I have a cable modem that that connects to the computer. I have internet cable from Comcast, so I want to maximize the connection speed. I might also add another computer in a couple of months to this setup, that I plan to connect without any wires. Also, I don’t know if I can do this, but I might as well ask In the near future im planning on buying an external hard drive of 250 GB or so, and I want to run some of the notebooks programs from that hard drive. Can it be done, and taking into consideration this setup, what would be the correct supplies to buy for this future plan? Thanks in advance for your help |

You would want to get a cable sharing router such as one made by Linksys such as this one:
