Question
I recently bought a new computer, which is connected to DSL along with my old computer. Years ago, I had 2 computers hooked up to a network box(?) and the second computer had dial up internet access, only when the first computer was connected. Now I have DSL and both computers are connected to the DSL modem. Is there any way I can transfer all of my files from the old computer to my new one without buying another cable or anything? I have a way to transfer them all but it takes a long time and wondered if there was a way the 2 comouters could be connected temporarily.

Depends on how they are both connected, if they are both connected to the DSL at the same time, then there is something providing some routing.
If you put both computers in the same work group, share some folders, turn off local firewalls on the machines, you should be able to transfer files between them.

If you need specific step-by-step instruction, don't be afraid to ask! Post back how you got this resolved, too, BTW.
