Boom Cannot See Each Other's Computer

hI,

CAN SOMEONE GUIDE ON HOW TO SETUP MY NETWORK. HAVE 2 COMPUTERS WITH WINDOWS ME IN BOTH OF THEM. I SET UP THE HOMENETWORKING WIZARD FOR BOTH OF THE AND ENABLE FILE SHARING AND PRINT SHARING FOR BOTH COMPUTERS UNDER CONTROL PANEL->NETWORK AND HAD CREATED THEIR OWN COMPUTER NAMES AND MADE THE SAME GROUP NAME FOR BOTH OF THEM. ONE HAS AN ETHERNET CARD AND THE OTHER HAS AN EZ CARD AND THEY ARE BOTH DIRECTLY CONNECTED WITH A CABLE TO EACH OTHER. WHEN I GO TO MY NETWORKING PLACES FOR EACH COMPUTER, THEY ONLY SEE THEMSELVES AND NOT THE OTHER ONE. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

(Please turn off Caps Lock)

Possible reasons the systems don't see each other....

The systems are directly connected (no hub) and the RJ45 cable is not a crossover cable.
One nic is a 100Base and the other nic is a 10Base (a 10/100Base nic could see either 10Base or 100Base)
