am i being hacked?
in my sygate logs I have an entry for mac spoofing. I did an ipconfig /all and i can see an entry for adsl modem, then an entry for "device" with no description. This device has ip and gateway addresses in the 192 range like a home network, but in network connection properties both LAN entries have dhcp enabled. So I can't figure out what the static ips are relating to. I tried also to delete a LAN (not the adsl modem router) but it didn't budge. The LAN based on the VIA adaptor doesn't seem to showing up in ipconfig /all.

It's quite difficult for someone to gain access to your machine when you're behind a router. Try "ipconfig /release", "ipconfig/ renew" and then "ipconfig /all" without the quotation marks. Then see if you can get the correct information up. If not, you may just need to reboot the router/modem. Also, turn off Sygate. There's no need for a software firewall when you're behind a hardware firewall.

I'd keep the software firewall, it stops stuff from calling out, the hardware firewall does not do this, it stops calls in. Together the two provide complete coverage (assumig they are set up correctly of course)
