Hijack log

Hello everyone.

I am having issues with an infection, and would greatly appreciate any help you could offer. The steps I have taken thus far are Here. Apologies for not re-writing them, but I think they would make more sense if viewed in the context of the thread.

Thanks once again.

I see several headaches but best to wait for Lobos to stop by and give you some removal directions. He's the resident expert.

Hi longrawker

Let me tell you what stands out . It looks like you have two varients of Lop Infection

first uninstall Messenger plus. It gets installed if you install the sponsor program that comses with it. Please after you follow the directions please leave messenger three uninstalled. then after we get you clean if you still wnat to install messenger plus i will tell you how without getting infected.

http://chooseknowledge.com/How-to-un...enger-Plus.htm

next

Download and unzip to one folder:
http://metallica.geekstogo.com/findlop.zip

Inside the folder find findlop.bat

Doubleclick it and it will create the file C:\findlop.txt
Find that file and copy the content into your next post. along with another Hijackthis log

Lobos

Hey, thanks for your help thus far, Lobos.

So I uninstalled Messenger Plus, rebooted, ran findlop.bat, and this is what it gave me in findlop.txt. "[TRACE] Enumerating jobs and queues"

I also ran HTJ again, as you suggested.

Be sure to look this solution over before you begin. There are a some item(s) i'm not familar with. If you recognze any, then just omit them from this fix.

===============

Go to Add/Remove programs and remove(uninstall) the following, if present:

MyWebSearch

The above could appear anywhere within the entry. Be careful not to remove any personal or system software.

===============

Next, we need to remove(uninstall) the 'lop' infection by going to here, then downloading and running the uninstaller(s) that relate to the application(s) your wanting to remove. The following selections are available: "Start page", "Search engine", "Accessories Toolbar".

After uninstalling any (or all) of the above, let's see if we have anything in "Scheduled Tasks":

Download, unzip and run ScheduledTasks.bat (courtesy of ddeerrff), and when notepad comes up, post the contents back to this thread.

===============

Run HiJackThis and click "Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://www.pftiopzegmtonmnhkfuv.inf...XIPFc1tR/T.html

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {038ADB20-1322-4255-6849-876F9D0A0992} - E:\DOCUME~1\MASTER~1\APPLIC~1\FLAWGR~1\curbsend.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [deafsupportsoftmeow] E:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\PlayBeepDeafSupport\32 64.exe

O8 - Extra context menu item: &Search - http://bar.mywebsearch.com/menusear...?p=zuzeb004YYBE

Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click "Fix checked".

===============

Locate and delete the following item(s), if present. Make sure your able to view system and hidden files/ folders:

folders...

E:\DOCUME~1\MASTER~1\APPLIC~1\FLAWGR~1
E:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\PlayBeepDeafSupport

Note that some of these file(s) may or may not be present. If present, and cannot be deleted because they're 'in use', try deleting them from "Safe Mode".

===============

Post back a new log, and let me know how everything goes.

Problem with the above quoted part of the remedy. When I run either of the uninstallers that I downloaded off of the website, I get the message, "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

I am admin on this computer, and am logged in as such...

Nothing in scheduled tasks, by the way.

Am I doing something wrong here?

The files may be in use by the infection. Did you try removing them from safe mode?

Thanks for the ongoing help Lobos!
