Linksys Wireless Router

Ok so i bought this wireless router so i can have my dad's computer hooked up DSL wirelessly, for some reason it keeps losing the signal so I was wondering if i could just buy a ethernet cable, and hook it to the back of my router to the ethernet port at the back of his computer. That way, would we both be able to use the DSL.

I have been also wondering does your DSL go slower if you have two computer hooked up to the same dsl connection?

The cable will work just fine. You should not get slower internet connection if they are on the same router.

Does it have to be a specific kind of ethernet cable?

To connect a router to a PC, you use a standard Cat5/5e/6 patch cable.
