its sorta outdated product.
wireless networking is cheaper, unless you have to buy new wireless NIC for each PC in the network, in that case it about the same cost.

I've used a version from Belkin. Worked great. I wouldn't hesitate to try it full time at the house but until I need it on another floor there is no need.

Networking through power outlets is a pretty neat way of networking. Every type of signal uses a small amount of electricity in order for the signal to be sent. So, you can get yourself one of those surge supressors with built-in 4-pin DSL phoneline jacks.

Yea, i have wireless right now and that's why im kinda looking to switch. The internet comes in way at the other end of the house, thats where are wifi router is. I have a wireless repeater in the middle but i still lose the signal alot, and im a gamer . Our internet just got bumped up to 3mbs, so i wanta take advantage of that. I guess il have to see how much it would cost to run wires all through the house before i jump on this.thanx guys |

Powerline adapters are a good way to network if your wireless is not reliable. Speed is up to 14mbps, a bit better than 802.11b wireless, but not up to 802.11g wireless - when you have decent signal strength. You can use this in conjunction with standard wired and wireless - and remote switches too.
