Could be a great Conversation "dynDNS.com"

I have just bought a nice Linksys wireless Router {WKPC54G}, and was browsing around all the nice features - came accross on in particular and had to do a little research - Dynamic DNS. I ended up at the dynDns.com website and got myself an account with a host name.

Now they are saying that this "host" name can give you access to your computers over the internet. Remotly.

Now im not so sure what is going on - when I follow the host name in my browser ie: http://myHost.name.com I only get access to my DSL Router which is a ZyXel router.

I have 2 pc's on my lan at home and the addresses are assigned by dhcp from the new linksys router.

I really want to understand this better, im not sure if i have the correct sttings on my router(s) to allow remote access to my server from this hostname.

Any Ideas out there?

Network: Broadband Internet Connection comes into the Prestige ZyXel 600 series. I have this plugged into my linksys router along with my Win2003 Server. I have a laptop which now picks up the network wirelessly.
Server and Laptop are given private ip's from the router(linksys).

I think my problem is purly networking.....

You prolly need to forward the appropriate ports on your router and any software firewalls.

The Zyxel is also a router. You can't get through 2 routers because it's translating IP addresses twice. You need to do what's necessary to switch the Zyxel into the "bridge" mode and set your router up for the PPPoE login. Then you have to forward the appropriate ports in the Linksys to your server.
