Switch or Hub for PS2 LAN?

Some friends and I are interested in playing some SOCOM on PS2 and we want to setup a small LAN for it. Should we get/use a Switch or a Hub? Anything we should know about setting this LAN up? Thanks.

EDIT: Also, what kind of network cables would we need, Straight-throughs or Cross-overs? I'm thinking straight-throughs but I just want to double check.

switch is the best way to go, never use a plan old hub,
sometimes the switchs are called switching hub, just be sure it a switch type. and a stright through cat-5 cable is the type you want to use.

if your going with a switch or a hub youll need regular cat5 (straight trought). or you could plug a cross-over from 1ps2 to another (if its long enought). just take what you have for the hub or switch thingy
