SBC DSL on Wireless Notebook
Hello,
I am in need of help trying to connect to the internet on my sony notebook wireless. My desktop runs fine using the 2wire router/modem but my notebook can not seem to connect to the network wireless. (I am using the 802.11g LAN, no cards) I tried using the 2wire SBC install cd but that doesnt work. Any solutions? |

You didn't say what exact version of Windows is on the laptop and what is controlling the wireless card, but if you do what you have to do to view available wireless networks or do a site survey, you should see a network named 2Wirexxx - that's yours. If there's more than one, it's going to be the one with the strongest signal - if you do this next to the unit, it will be 100%. Connect, and when it asks for the security key, it's 64 bit WEP, the key is a 10 digit number in parentheses on the barcode sticker on the bottom of the 2Wire unit.
