i don't want to change the name of the computer.
i want to change the name i see from another computer on the network. the actual name is in brackets next to the title/name that i'm interested in changing. |

Lantastic network? Normally pre-pends the LT to the network name.
If my suspicion is correct, then you reinstall Lantastic and change the name as the 3rd field during the installation. |

turns out that all i had to do was to change the "computer description" in the "computer name" tab (in "system properties").
it's fine now (after a restart) |
