my xbox online, HELP!!!!!!
hey,
ive previously connected to xbox live staight through from modem. ive now decided to go for internet sharing, connecting my xbox via RJ45 crossover cable, to my pc. my internet is working fine on my pc, and the cables are connected to xbox. on the xbox, the live service will NOT connect. it says the cables are connected. but it then says "no DNS address are located from DHCP or PPPoE. can somebody help, im really desperate, i need this working. thankyou! |

You have to set up internet connection sharing to do it that way. You are MUCH better off using a router.

You should have a straight through cable going to the computer from your modem.You should have another NIC card and plug the Xbox into it using a crossover cable.Then what you do is go the networks places on your computer.You should see both network card's here.Click on one of them while holding down the Ctrl button .Then click on the other one ,now right click and there should be an option to bridge the connection, and click that.If it doesnt then make sure your xbox is on.
