Ontrack EZ Recovery.

Isn't shareware, but it's good.

PC Inspector is free. Give it a try. Ontrack Easy Recovery is the *best* but NOT cheap.

If the hard drive is not seen by the bios, no software is going to help you.

Sometimes it helps to make it a slave drive.

Hi,

I've had luck making hard drives no longer seen as master drives in the BIOS into slave drives for recovery with Windows or Linux LiveCD.

I've had great results from knoppix-std disk, if your familiar with the linux environment using midnight commander file manager.
