smitfraud-c
My roommate has Smitfraud-C on his computer, and we can not figure out how to remove it. Any suggestions?

Have you tried going through http://housecall.antivirus.com ? It should remove it, if not note down the exact variant that you have and you can remove it manually by searching from their virus encyclopedia.

Info on Smitfraud-C: This Trojan program utilizes spoofing technology. The Trojan is represented by a fake HTML page. It is used for stealing confidential information about clients of Smith Barney financial company
well i would start by trying an Anti-virus such as AVG witch is free. re-edited: housecall is also a very good site to remove those type of things

I wish it was as easy as running House Call or AVG. Have you guys really had any luck clearing smitfraud with those programs?
I usually use method 1 Here. Here is another way to do it... http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=75890 Post #6 has the fix. havi, I hope the info will help you out. |
