I noticed the above file in my startup items when I check what is being loaded at startup under msconfig. I googled it, but don't really know if I need it or can i remove it. The file is located at C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\IGFXPERS.EXE I just noticed it today after I downloaded kerio personal firewall. Advice please !

Here's a site to check items in your startup.

That has to do with graphics for intel chipsets. I would leave it, I don't know what removing it might do.

Associated with the Common User Interface module for Intel graphics cards
Well I got the Intel Graphics part right. Apparently it isn't required... I am guessing it has something to do with a system tray or something of that sort.

I am guessing it is related to this... which is what I looked up first (had dealt with a HJT log recently with this entry on it, and made the connection)

Thanks Panama & Ryan for the replies. I had checked it against "that list" that I had printed off about two months ago, and it was not there then.
Guess I need to check the updated list from now on. Mike
