forgot my routers password
I have a WRT54G v1.1 Linksys wireless-g broaddand router. I used this router a couple of years ago and changed the "admin" password to something else, but have recently forgoten that i changed it to. I have tryed resetting the router but it is seems to be holding on the the password.

By resetting, did you mean a hard reset? That's where you use a paperclip to push in the reset button and hold it for 30 seconds.

if you did a hard reset of the router, then the pass word will be set to the factory default.

i did a hard reset, but only held it for 5 secs.... iam going to try it for a longer duration now

Unplug it, hold the reset button in with a paperclip, plug it back in while continuing to hold the button in, release the button after 30 seconds.
