reformat prob
just reformatted my dell laptop with windows xp professional. everything works great but my wireless card. i cannot access our wireless network at school.
the card seems to be installed correctly with all necessary software. any ideas? thanks |

Open device manager and make sure it's not disabled. Also check the network connections folder, it may be disabled in there. I've seen this happen for no apparent reason. Did you install SP2 and try using the Windows wireless configuration? This is usually easier than using the Dell utility.

when i try to enable a red x pops ups and a ballon pops up on the task bars that says wireless network connection not available

Are you using the Dell utility or the builtin Windows utility to try to configure it? Sounds like they are fighting each other, and something has the radio turned off.
