heartbeat
anybody know what a heartbeat is in regards to wireless router/modems sending packets etc?
I can't really find the definition anywhere. Thanks |

the heartbeat is a regular signal sent back and forth between 2 devices to, among other things, to keep them in synch, to indicate that the device is still functioning etc.
