I apologize, in advance, if I missed directions on this in a prior thread; I did a search but did not find one.
I am installing a 54Mbps Wireless-G USB 2.0 Adaptor on a desktop PC; everything appears good-to-go except in the network keys area. 1st, I am completely new to this, was not aware of needing them in advance but I think this is the only part missing before the computer is internet ready. Does anyone know how to create these keys that are necessary? I am learning so even if you could point me in the right direction would be beneficial. Thanks! |

First what brand of router is it? What brand is the USB adapter? The key is a series of characters generated by the router software that must be entered for the router and each adapter on the network to allow access.

Have you enabled wireless security in the router? If not, there's no key - but you should do so.
