Belkin KVM
I have one main computer and one old 'thing' thats called a computer. i want to beable to use them both and not have to unplug everything, so im thinking bout getting a KVM swith. But before i do, i jus wondered if you can sill use it with only one pc turned on?
also, if one pc is on standby can u still use it? im unsure, but if it does vairy between models/manufactures, here is the one ive been looking at: Belkin Omniview 2-Port KVM Switch with Built-in Cabling, on Ebuyer. |

You can certainly use it with only one computer turned on or with one in standby. Hitting the hotkey switching sequence will switch it as long as one computer is turned on, it gets its power from both keyboard ports.

Although there are some that get flaky with just one machine powered up the Belkin cable models seem to be better about using just one.
