Video conferencing
Hi Maybe I'm in the wrong forum for this . Can I set my router up for video conferencing? It is a Network Everywhere 4-port cable/DSL router. If I can't config. it , can I hook my pc into the cable modem and by-pass the router? Also does the fire wall have to be disabled if using AOL Video Chat or MSN Net Meeting?? I can't seem to get everything going to get the video going . Thanks

most firewalls have an option to allow select type of (normally) blocked traffic. depending upon the codec used for your video (it might be h.323) you just prop that open and away you go.
yes, you can disconnect the router from the modem but that opens up a whole host of issues (like sharing the web with other folks in your house)
