Toshiba wireless connection problem

I just purchased a new Toshiba Latop. It is a Satellite A105-S4014. Right out of the box the wireless keeps loosing the connection yet says it is connected. I can do a repair on the connection and it will come back. However this is a pain in the ass when it seems to freeze up anytime I do something other then use the net. As an example if I switch over to say itunes to change songs and back to the browser I have to repair the connection. I have two other computers running off of the same Linksys Router one is wired and the other is wireless. I have had no problems with either of them staying connected. I have checked all of the firewall settings and the power saving settings that I know of.

Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance.

This is driving me nuts!!

Does the laptop have a Tx power setting on Auto (select the adapter under
Network Connections and click Configure)? If so, try setting it to 100% and
see if that helps. The adapter in my desktop got a good signal from the
router but backed off its Tx power to the point that the router couldn't hear
it. It sounds like your laptop can hear the router and thinks it's connected
but has reduced Tx power to save the battery and now the router can't
hear it.
