help getting internet on my labtop
my friend is trying to get wireless internet on his labtop. he has a toshiba satellite-L25 and linksys wireless-G broadband router model-WRT54G. his brother can get internet on his dell labtop but he cant seem to get it on his. can someone give me instructions or something to get wireless internet on his. when he try to use the internet it connects but a lil thing pops up n says u have limeted or no connectivity so u wont be able to use the internet

make sure that the laptop is also G/ 54 series on the wireless. I had the same problem trying to connect a wireless laptop with a g series to a B- type router, and make sure that the router is set for B and G wireless if the laptop is not the G type.
that message is saying that you have the lan connection ok but the internet is not connecting. |

Limited or no connectivity is saying that the adapter is unable to get an IP address from the router. This is usually a settings mismatch somewhere.

It can also happen when the quality of the link is poor and too many packets get dropped, including the dhcp ones. When either the request or the anwer get dropped, dhcp won't function right.
