Stuck at username/password
Ok maybe Im just doign this wrong but Ive got my two PCs, hooked up with an ethernet cable from one to the other.
I am running XP home on both of them. I have run the networking wizard on both and it seems to do everything fine, but when I try to connect on the main PC it gets stuck at checked username and password. Ive configured it so I dont even have to enter it in, and its just not working... any help is appreciated. |

Sounds like you need to disable the Microsoft Networking client. It's a login utility that can be found listed along side all protocols bound to your NIC. Highlight it and click disable.

OK new issue, I can get past the username/password by changing it to a SLIP connection, but I cant actually acess the slave. It says its connected on the master but the slave has no knowledge of it.
Am I doing this all wrong? Im trying to network it so that the slave works as a file server and the Master runs the programs.... |
