local isp intrusion?

im overseas in the middle east and the best thing happened about a month ago. the camp allowed an outside contractor to come in and install internet in to the personal living areas. its great except for last night it started acting funny. when ever i typed on the screen, the comp would slow down a little and then what appeared to be someone typing kept filling what ever text box i was using at the time. i checked all of the firewalls and security settings. the firewall was turned off and i never rember doing it. so i turned it all back on and tried latter and it keep hapening agian. so is it a virius or some one else taped in if possiable? o and for about a week a "windows network error message" keeps coming up. it says "a duplicate name exist on the network".

my wireless net is off and the setup is a t5 cable?(the one cable thats bigger than a home telephone cord). ran to a routter and then to the office whit the satlites.

any help with this is appreaciated. thanks

i would run a virus and malware sweep on every PC on the network...someone may have caught a cold.
