Stopping a Wireless Network Signal Broadcast

For the past few days my roomie and I didn't have internet access but still wanted to share files through a wireless network. I have the laptop in my sig, and he has a desktop with a USB Wireless Adapter. I created a Wireless Network called "Mitch's Wireless" to enable file sharing between us....now we have internet access, and our ssid is "Thats What She Said" (all you Office will get a laugh), but my Toshiba Laptop, even when I am on "Thats What She Said" I am still broadcasting the "Mitch's Wireless", how do I stop my wireless network signal (Mitch's Wireless) from being sent from my laptop?
