Everything Downloaded is corrput

Almost everything I download is corrupt. It's mainly ZIP files or even simple TXT files. mp3's and EXE's are ok....

Anyone know of a reason why? some software I'm running?

I've got:
Norton IS
Adware SE Pro
Spyware Doctor

Thanks!

try another computer through the same connection. if you're using a router or the like that could be the cause. when did this start?

I only have one computer... and no network or router....

I'm not really sure when it started, this is a new build, about 2 months old. I worked fine thru all the downloading of updates and that kind of stuff, I've noticed it for the last couple weeks. At first I thought my Winzip was bad.... I d/l a fresh copy and still have the same problem.

exe's and the like are ok.... its just really zip files. And most downloads are zipped... Is there a setting in any of my security software that you know of that would cause this.... I'm getting ready to do a 100% scan with everything I've got.

Norton IS
Adware SE Pro
Spyware Doctor
Sypbot search & destroy

any other ideas?

Thanks

Disable your firewalll temporarily when you are downloading and see if that helps.

Have you tried updating or changing your zip software?

WinZip

Have you tried Window's built-in ZIP capability? Are you downloading from the same site?

As a simple test, download 7zip - http://www.7-zip.org/ and see if it extracts the zip correctly.

Thanks for all the replys....

You all were pretty much right. It was an expired trial copy of WinZIP. I'm a registered user, but when I did the clean install of XP on this new build, I downloaded WinZIP from their site.... and never entered my serial#.... DOH!

Man did that make me feel Stupid!

Thanks again!

I would've thought it would have told you that, not say the files are corrupted.

Is that what Winzip 10 does when the trial expires? Yikes - good thing I still use 9.
