Computers Networked, but One Has No Internet

I have a DSL connection hooked up to a D-Link router. Two computers running XP (one pro, one home) are networked through the router. The Pro computer has access to the internet, as well as the shared files on the Home computer. The Home computer has access to the shared files on the Pro computer (so I know they are linked), but cannot link to the internet (Firefox and Thunderbird timeout).

I've repaired the local area connection on the Home computer, but still no internet access.

What am I missing? I tried a winsock fix, but it did not help. I rolled back the system to the day before we noticed the lack of internet connection, but it did not help. What other options should I try?

1. Have you set up the router to log into your ISP?
2. Is TCP protocoi enabled on each computer?

Did you just set up this network and it has never worked, or did it once work and now it has stopped working?

Is DHCP enabled on the router?

The network has worked with no problems for the last six months. DHCP enabled. TCP protocol enabled.

I did a third power cycle last night (turned everything off - unplugged everything). And it came up running. If only we could fix all the world's problems by simply turing something off for 30 seconds.
