Linksys WRT54g Web browsing trouble.........
Hi all, I just bought the Linksys WRT54G (version 5) as a new router.
I am having a extremely 'unique' problem with my router. After some manual PPPoE tweaking, the internet seemed to work, but then I tryed to go to my ebay. It seems that any site (so far: my ebay, xbox 360 profile, gamefly account) All seem to cause IE to freeze and have an error that requires it to be closed. What could be causeing this? most sites work fine, but these cause IE to just freeze, and My download speeds seem a little slower too. Any ideas? |

usually when that happens it is caused by some sort of script error. My advice is to shift to mozilla or one of the other alternative browsers and see if it still happens.

Nope, still happens. And I also tried coming directly from the modem to the pc, and the secure sites work fine.

ok, then lets check a few things:
1) latest firmware? current is 1.0.9 (may 2006) 2) turn off the firewall (both on the router and PC) 3) connect via hard wire only. still a problem? |
