Limited Connectivity on wake from (prolonged standby)
was wondering if anyone has experienced a similar problem...
when I wake from a prolonged standby (soft off for more than 3hrs.) my pc shows a limited network connectivity message. I have turned off the power saving option in my network card configuration so that isnt the problem. I can remedy the issue by powering down, resetting the modem (30 sec. power down) and rebooting. Its just that this is a pain in the bum... ...besides, this problem has just cropped up; and I havent updated anything on my system recently (besided windows xp updates) any thoughts ??? |

I think most people don't do the computer standby or hibernate. It just seems to cause problems. I set my systems to turn off the monitor after 20 minutes of no activity.

it may be that your IP address lease has expired and the PC failed to send out a discovery broadcast (or did and it timed out)
