Connect Wireless not Wired on same Laptop
I have a laptop that I use to troubleshoot wireless and wired connections within my network setup. However, I can connect wireless but not wired and the wireless connection will periodically change from excellent to good. this is in my office and I'm not far from the wireless router about four feet actually. I disable the wireless connection and still cannot connect wired. Shows to be connected but can't surf. Any thoughts on this?

Let me ask you a few questions:
Are you sure your gateway address is saved correctly? Do you have the DNS addresses correctly configured? what router are you using? |

is the wired connection set to DHCP, if so, run ipconfig /all and tell us what you get.
