Using Wireless Network and Ethernet Network
Hi,
I am using a PCI Wireless Card to access the internet via a Netgear Router. The router is set up to use a static IP address and has MAC Address Filtering enabled. I am able to connect to the internet using the wireless card as its MAC Address is in the allow list of the router and has the static IP, subnet etc etc settings correctly set up. I have been having problems where if I use the onboard nForce 4 Ethernet connection in conjunction with the wireless card (to use Windows ICS on my laptop) I am finding that this can crash the PC with a BSOD Stop Error complaining about drivers. Is it because the two network adapters dont like working together or do I need to set the IP address (etc) up for the ethernet connection to work with the wireless adapter? Or just a problem with drivers which is unrelated to this? Cheers, Tom

It could very well be that the NICs are not playing nice together. I would try disabling one while using the other and see if the stop error goes away. You may also check your logs for any applications that may giving off an excessive amount of errors.

I keep a regular check on Event Viewer and I just get the stop errors from time to time...often when I am Shutting Down the PC...it will restart and give a stop error

Wait just a minute - you can't use ICS in conjunction with a router. Use a wireless adapter in the laptop off the router.
