Testing my upstream

I want to buy a Slingbox player. However, it is recomended that the slingbox be hooked up to a connection with at least 256 Upstream Speed. My question is, how can I test my line to see what my upstream speed is? I know I can call them however I am not the main account holder and they wont talk to me about my account. Is there a test I can run online?
