That's classic lag. It's most likely being cause by your internet connection being either too slow or getting over-used by p2p traffic.

Peer to peer. As in, are you downloading anything while you're playing? And 100 isn't exactly a great ping. If the game is reporting that it may actually be spiking higher. While you're playing, is there any other traffic going on in your network?

You need to see what all the other computers on your network are doing. One of them could be doing downloads or uploads or file sharing or even have malware phoning home, etc.

hmmm, well my siter downloads lots of music and uses aim, as well as my cousin, and my dad does some music downloading from time to time, they all do this wirelessly. however i used to run a direct cable from the modem to my pc, till we got a router and i had to start saring internet again, thats when this trouble started, but i still use a cable from the router to my pc.

i do know for a fact that my cousins computer is filled with some viruses and sorts like that.

*EDIT*
i also notice when im surfing the web, my internet will cut out and it will say somthing like "couldnt connect to sever." and this problem persists amongst all of us that are on the same network.
they dont get this problem while gaming though(becuase im the only one that plays online gaming LOL)

Get all the computers cleaned up. It's simple bandwidth saturation.

Send a message via Yahoo to toomyg
also try the game while the other computers are sitting idol (doing nothing) and see what happens

I also play a game on line (Delta Force2 and Black hawk down) and I have a cat5 to the router and I will get lag if my son is playing around on the net

If the other computers are eaten up with malware, they won't just be sitting there doing nothing. Turn them off to do this test.
