Hey toomyg,

Since more and more people are willing to take the risk and flash to DD-WRT, and you know more than I do about it at this point, would you be willing to write a quick guide to it that we can maybe get stickied in this forum? TIA.

Maybe just a quick on how to properly flash a router with DD-WRT? Than we can use that thread to help people out as they are having trouble. Seems like a lot more people are willing to go ahead and flash their router -- I think this would be a helpful central resourse as opposed to having multiple threads on the subject.

I do need to caution people about dd-wrt. If you want to use it, you need to do your homework first. Different routers require different specific procedures, it's pretty easy to brick your router.

Why not point potential "flasher's" to dd-wrt's installation wiki page? It is extremely thorough. I also would hope the majority of users would do their research before flashing any type of hardware. although sometimes it takes an expensive lesson to help reinforce the idea to research before flashing.

AMEN to that mikeL you have to read that page word for word and as long as you reset the router your 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% good to go and it is mainly for linksys router too . I feel I am not really qualified to do a document on flashing routers I am still at the very basics my self BUT thanks still anyways Floppyman
