Windows Defender fails to initialize

Hello,
I had the Windows Defender configured to run at start-up; however the last couple of days when i start my PC i get the message that : Application failed to initialize : 0x800106ba etc, please see attachment.

What could be the problem?

I dont have Word installed on this machine so can't look at the attachement. If it is a screendump then you would be better off to paste into MS Paint then save as a JPEG.

Uninstall it. If you really want to have it, then try a reinstall.

There is a new version to use , the old one has been disabled
