Router can't seem to mantain wireless connection.

Here's the setup: Cable modem plugged into Netgear wireless router with 4 ethernet ports. My pc is plugged into the router via ethernet cable. And a laptop with a Netgear wireless card in the other room. Thing is, the laptop randomly loses connection to the router. The only way I can fix it is to unplug the router and plug it back in, Then it immediately reestablishes connection.

I have WEP encryption enabled, but I can't see that being the problem. Is this a common issue? Would changing the wireless channel help? Thanks

First off, you don't happen to have a cordless phone, that operates at 2.4 ghz ? have you updated the router firmware.
what model router is it

Yes I do! Doh, I forgot that uses similar technology ::smacks forehead::

Hmm, can I work around this? The phone is important..would making sure the channels each of them use is different suffice?

My Netgear model is WGT624 v3.

Your best bet would be to get a 5.8 GHz phone.
