ok this is kinda dumb question I'm kinda new to the whole world of high speed Internet at least specifics(no i don't live under a rock I'm just 14) ok so if i were to buy a new Internet router with better specs or performance would that increase my Internet connection because I'm using the one supplied with the Internet service and id like to make speed up my wireless Internet i am getting descent speed but still lag in my xbox live matches and just overall slightly slow : ) thanks

No. Routers are many times faster than broadband Internet.

Pretty much no. As he said, routers are many times faster than broadband, so you're already getting all the speed possible.
