Cannot get into router to configure it

I have been trying to start up a Vent server but I've having a tough time. I cant get into my router to open the correct channel. I have a D-Link DI-524. First I typed my IP address into my address bar in Firefox. When I hit enter, all I get is a blank white screen and in the bottom left corner it says "done." So then I figured "OK guess I'll us Microsoft Internet Explorer. I switched using IE Tab and got the same thing. Finally, I opened IE and got an error saying "Te requested lookup key was not found in any active context." In fact, I get that error every time I try to go to any webpage in IE. It will load my home page but thats it. What can I do to fix this and get into my router?
