IP address conflict
I'm getting an IP address conflict when I fire up my wife's Sony VAIO AR520E laptop. I am using a WRT54G router that is wired into my desktop via an cable. I have my SSID hidden but I have been able to successfully setup the network connection on my wife's VAIO. When I just use the VAIO I can get a wireless connection with no IP address conflict appearing on my desktop. If I just use my desktop to access the Internet I also don't have a problem. It's when I try to access the Internet with both computers at the same time that I run inot the IP address conflict.
I suspect that I have to make some "adjustments" using the router control / setup via my browser but I don't know what to "tweak". Any suggestions would be most welcome! |

Make sure that both computers are set to obtain an IP address automatically and that you have enough DHCP range in the router - default is 50, from 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.149.
