questions about network settings

I have question about network settings of my dads office, they have a WinXP Pro SP2 Computer which is using dial up internet service(ISP service). There are other computers that are connected to this computer via switch and access internet through this computer.
I just checked the WINS settings in the Advance TCP/IP settings of the computer which had dialup service and saw a dot placed on the following:

"Default use NetBIOS settings from the DHCP Server, if static IP address is used or the DHCP Server doesnot provide NetBIOS settings,

Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP
Disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP
"

there are circles around enable netbios and disable netbios over tcp/ip settings.

My question was that should i place a dot on disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP since there are no earlier versions of windows used in this Network?
