How To Use WDS On WRT54G With A Westell 327W

I have a Linksys WRT54G Version 3.1,and would like to know if WDS is built in,or do I have to reflash it with a newer Linksys update,or maybe a special program? What I tried to do was plug E1 from the router into the ethernet port on a laptop, and see if I could get wireless internet from my Westell 327W.Is this possible? Can't you also use this to get extra range from another router?Any help is greatly appreciated.Thank You very much!

Any reason why you're using a router with the Westell 327w? The Westell 327w is a modem/router. http://www.westell.com/images/produc...nk_gateway.pdf and http://www.proxim.com/support/techbulletins/TB-046.pdf.

Hope these explain what you're looking for.

Sorry I haven't written in awhile. What I was trying to do was see if I could get a laptop to go on the internet wirelessly by plugging the Linksys WRT54G into the laptop ethernet port, and sending a signal to the Westell 327W.Is there anyway this will work? What about using the Linksys WRT54G to boost the wireless signal of the Westell 327W.Any help is greatly appreciated.Thank You very much!

If you have a WRT54G I'd neuter the Westell and put it into the bridge mode and use the Linksys to handle PPPoE and the wireless.
