problems with internet
ok, this is a looong story and Im writin this so i dnt hav to go to the store and hav them take a whole week to fix my pc wen i kud maybe fix it in a day IF you guyz kno wat tha problem is...
sooo, i moved from a house to an apartement and i have an old a** dell pc with only 128MB of RAM XP sp2, and another NEW pc which is a vista with 2GB RAM and Intel Duo Proc 64 bit but with 32bit software. So the vista pc worked perfectly fine at my old house, with the internet and i got a bunch of media and games on it lik WoW and FFXI and such but when i move to a new apt, the darn pc won't detect the internet!!! im on a modem and it keeps sayin its identifying the internet when it doesn't even detect that the cables are connected. So i called comcast and they came ova and checked errthing out and they said try a new network card, but they were completely wrong kuz the pc kept doin the same exact thing. the comcast dude also replaced all the cables to the modem like the ethernet and phone cables stuff lik that AND he replaced the modem itself jus to make sure. then when i told them the new network card didnt work they sent anotha guy and he tried errthing he kud but it wasnt the problem with the network it was with the pc. but here's the catch >.< the internet works completely fine on the old slow mofo pc lolz, and jus cant wait 2 start playin MMO'z again, it's ben lik 2 weeks since this all happend, i jus havent had the time to type this kuz of skool n stuff but yea. so altogether, the new vista pc wont detect the internet let alone that it cant even detect that the cables are connected and i've tried everything to make t work but nothing, AND the old pc with XP works fine with the internet, no problemo. and dont 4get that the new pc worked perfect at the old house but now doesnt work in the new apt =( You guyz got any ideas? P.S. i kno i postd this alrdy but i put this here kuz i think this is the correct forum... sry if i caused any trubbo |

Please do not crosspost. Also - your post is impossible to follow. The best way to get help here is use reasonably well spelled English, reasonably correct grammar, and concise sentences. Keep the IM speak OUT of here, please. Post here like you were writing a school paper. We also do not permit foul language. |
