Wireless Network Not working on PC

Recently I accidentally deleted the drivers for my wireless adapter on my PC. Once I installed them I could not get my internet to work. It always said limited or no connectivity. I installed the program that came with my linksys wireless adapter. The program takes over the standard windows xp wireless configuration utility and connects to the internet that way. For some reason that works, I can connect just fine when I use that program. But when I use the standard windows XP program, doesnt work. My laptop works just fine with the windows xp configuration so I know its something in the settings of my PC. Anyone have any idea?

Uninstall the Linksys management software. Download the latest driver from Linksys and decompress it into a folder. Use the update driver function in the properties of the adapter in device manager and point it to the drivers folder.
